M-Commerce on the rise!

If you look around you you will see mobile devices...smart phones and tablets! Yes we all still use Desktop PC and Laptops for work, BUT we spend more time socializing on mobile devices. So the info and statistics below does not come as a surprise.

As smartphone and tablet use across the world continues to grow, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that mobile commerce sales have quadrupled over the past two years.

According to an infographic from Statista, the leading German Internet statistics company, there are almost 120 million smartphone users in the U.S. right now, and about half as many tablet users. By 2014, those numbers are expected to grow to over 150 million and almost 90 million, respectively.

Online retailers have noticed this trend — 40 million Americans visited Amazon through their mobile devices in the month of March alone — and are responding appropriately, creating apps and mobile-friendly sites to drive revenue.

Check out the infographic below for more ecommerce data, as well as a breakdown on the wealth of tablet users.
